Celebrating Cromford 2015

This years Celebrating Cromford festival features a wide range of events for all the family. Here’s a selection (courtesy of www.CelebratingCromford.org):
* Dancing Dogs –  see heelwork to music and come and have a go yourself
3.00 pm, Marquee, Sat.,
* Dale Diva –  the ever popular Dale Diva, Cromford’s famous all-woman acapella group 2-3pm, Marquee, Sat
* Hands on Science – a demonstration of amazing experiments, 2-4pm Methodist Church Sat.
* Theatreworks – the wonderful local drama group performing a selection from recent shows 4-5pm Methodist Church, Sat.
* Open Gardens – 1.30 until 5.30, Sun, throughout the village, not only local gardens but also a display of more than 20 community and personal pallet gardens. Judge the winner. Tickets on sale on Scarthin Promenade from 1.00, Gardens Open from 1.30 until 5.30, £3 per adult, children free
* Cromford’s racing ducks –  down on Cromford Meadows witness the full glory of a flotilla of racing ducks negotiating the River Derwent. 1-1.30pm Sun
* Pudding competition –  Have a go or come and taste the winners! Junior and adult classes. Enter by 1.00pm on Sat., judging from 1-2.
