CROMFORD OPEN GARDENS 2016

Cromford lies where the Peak limestone dips below the shales of the Derwent Valley and the gritstone of Black Rocks. Come and see what can we can grow on our rocky terraces and moist valley plots. This year, gardens are supplemented by pallet gardens planted by village groups and individuals – please vote for your favourite pallet.

The leaflet indicates which sites require good balance and sure footwork. Some participants will be offering light or substantial refreshment along with artworks on display.

This year the Cromford Open Gardens is a stand-alone event re-scheduled for a weekend not clashing (we hope) with nearby villages and when our flowers and vegetables will be more advanced. Pallets gardens tended by voluntary groups and businesses will also be on display around the village.

Proceeds will be divided between charities chosen by the gardeners.
