Warm Wet & Windy 2014

Now in its fourth year, this festival will include a wide range of lectures, question and answer sessions, music, stalls and activities relating to climate change and other environmental issues.

Evening events include:

Thursday, May 1st, 7pm

Question Time at the Gothic Wharf – ‘(How) Can We Tackle Climate Change?’

Prof. Edward Hanna (Professor of Climate Change, University of Sheffield)

Dr. Simon Gosling (Lecturer in Climate Change and Hydrology, University of Nottingham)

Dr. Bob Ward (Policy & Communications Director, Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment, LSE).

Friday 2nd of May, 6pm – ‘The Big Issues’ – with author & thinker Mayer Hillman and environmental journalist & author Fred Pearce.

Saturday 3rd of May, 6pm – ‘Burning Questions and Beating the Sceptics’ with Mike Berners-Lee (author and climate change consultant) and Bob Ward (Policy & Communications Director of the LSE’s Grantham Climate Change Research Institute).

Sunday 4th of May, 6pm – ‘The Past as a Key to the Future’ – with Mark Maslin (UCL Professor of Climatology)  & Tim Lenton (Professor of Climate Change, Exeter University)

Authors will be signing copies of their books for purchase.

Tickets for Question Time and Talking in Twos – £6.50 (£5 for Arwkright Society and Co-operative members)
