Our book-buying is done by appointment only. Please call 01629 823272 and ask to speak to David Booker if you have a collection you wish to bring in. We are usually booked up a week in advance and occasionally have to take short breaks from buying due to the large number of books we get offered, so please be patient with us.

For the majority of ‘bread-and-butter’ stock, we tend to offer a little credit to spend in the shop, but can offer cash for larger or more specialist collections. Please be aware that we cannot guarantee to take everything you bring in and will have to ‘cherry pick’ from each collection and ask you to take away anything we can’t make an offer on.

We’re often inundated and over stocked in most areas of interest but almost always want quality literary fiction and Booker-Prize/Orange-prize shortlisted titles (paperback or hardback).

We rarely take in old reference books, encyclopedias or Sunday School prize classics.
