Second Hand Book Buying

We buy used books (and sheet music) by appointment only. It’s best to email us with a few photos (of the collection rather than individual books) if you can, otherwise call 01629 823272 and ask for David Booker. If you have books we are interested in then we can arrange an appointment for you to bring them in.

We are often inundated with offers so what we need can change daily/weekly and we usually have to cherry-pick from collections rather than take everything you have (although it’s nice when we can).

We don’t take in older reference books or encyclopedias, nor mid twentieth century Sunday School classics or Reader’s Digest/Odhams Press type books. We usually have more than enough cookery, lit crit, travel guides and children’s books.

We do take, if in good condition:
