We currently stock approximately 50,000 second-hand books on (almost) every conceivable subject. Unfortunately, we don’t have a database of these titles so it’s a case of visiting the shop and being prepared to lose yourself for hours at a time in the relevant sections to try to find what it is you’re after…

Our book-buying is done by appointment only. Please call 01629 823272 and ask to speak to David Booker if you have a collection you wish to bring in. For the majority of ‘bread-and-butter’ stock, we tend to offer a little credit to spend in the shop in return for anything we’re able to take, but can offer cash for larger or more specialist collections.

Want us to track down an out of print book?

We offer a book search service, tracking down rare and out of print titles. There’s no charge for us to get a quote (price, condition, etc), with just a small admin fee (included in the price quoted) if you decide to go ahead with the order. To track down that elusive book, just email or call us and ask to speak to Gareth (Thursdays and Fridays)
